How to use us:

Your primary care doctor sends us an imaging referral to our email. Then, we will give you a call to set up a date within 2 weeks to come to your home with our equipment to perform your echocardiogram. Once our registered cardiac sonographer completes the test, they will submit the images for our boarded cardiologist to interpret and write a detailed report for your doctor. The report time is within 72 hours. It's that simple and fast!

What's the cost

This is an out-of-pocket service. This means that we don't take insurance, but our costs are often cheaper than if you used insurance. Without insurance companies involved, we can provide this test to you at what it should actually cost. To be scanned in the comfort of your own home and within the speedy time of 2 weeks, it costs $350. This price also includes advanced imaging techniques such as LV strain analysis which is useful for patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Our price vs. others that take insurance:

Imaging centers and hospitals can charge anywhere from 1,000-3,000 dollars for an echo. Most insurance companies are 80/20. This means that once you hit your deductible, the insurance company will pay 80% of the bill, leaving you with the remaining 20%. So even with insurance you could still owe $200-$600 out-of-pocket.

What to expect for your appointment:

The appointment is scheduled for an hour. This allows us time to set up the equipment, perform the scan, make a preliminary findings report for our cardiologist, and pack everything up. The registered cardiac sonographer will bring: towels, the ultrasound equipment, medical gowns, a portable chair, a collapsable work table, and a portable medical table for you to lay on. The scan itself only lasts 25-30 minutes.
