About Us

Welcome to Seaside Veterinary Cardiac Imaging! My name is Cody Redmond and I am the creator and sole member of the business. I am excited to bring mobile expert cardiac ultrasound services to the Hampton Roads area! I am a registered cardiac sonographer and a licensed veterinary technician with several years of veterinary emergency and cardiology experience. My wife and I are avid animal lovers and we want to help extend the time we get with our beloved pets!

HOW THE BUSINESS WORKS:

Echocardiograms and Abdominal Ultrasounds:

Your primary veterinarian schedules an appointment for me to perform the cardiac or abdominal ultrasound and I travel to you at the comfort of your local veterinary office to see your fur-baby! When I get there, I use my ultrasound machine to take pictures of your pet's heart or abdomen. I then upload those pictures to my online imaging platform where our board certified veterinary Cardiologists and Radiologists review them. The specialists then create a report that contains both their findings and therapeutic recommendations. I do offer emergency after-hour scans but I request that those patients be sent to my partnering facility, Coastal Animal Referral Emergency. This will allow the emergency team to implement the specialist's recommendations in a quickly manner. They also have more advanced diagnostics and treatments, such as CT and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. In the event that your pet can't be safely transported to Coastal Animal Referral Emergency, please head to your nearest veterinary emergency clinic. Coastal Animal Referral Emergency also allows us to use their location as our referral site to allow primary veterinarians a secondary location to send their patients for greater access to cardiac and abdominal ultrasounds in the community. So if you are interested in having an echocardiogram or abdominal ultrasound done at the partnering facility please feel free to reach out to us or their clinic as well to set up the appointment.

Tele-Cardiology:

This service allows your primary veterinarian to digitally send us x-rays that they take of your pet's heart and ECGs (electrocardiograms) that they obtain so that our cardiologists can interpret them and make a report with their findings.

Tele-Radiology:

This service allows your primary veterinarian to digitally send us x-rays, CT images, and ultrasounds that they take in-clinic for our board certified radiologists to interpret and provide reports on.

We will soon be offering other services such as Holter Monitors,  Please see our services page for more details.
